"I think if I weren't so beautiful, maybe, I'd have more character."
Hayden Bailey took a seat at the far end of the cafe with a cup of hot chocolate handy so he could look out the window and onto the street. Even though he was a senior and had been in London for a few years now, the Winter months still affected him seen as they didn't quite the warmer weather of his home city of L.A. His outfit was only semi suited to the conditions with a white hoody and baggy jeans but the warm air of the cafe had lured him in along with the smell of coffee.
Wrapping his hands around the cup, Hayden felt the heat transferring up his arms and sent him a little shiver. The hot liquid slid down his throat and added to the pleasing sensation, noticing the grim faces of people walking by the cafe bundled in heavy clothing.
"Can I get you anything else, love?" The cafe was normally self service and order at the bar but since the place wasn't very busy with most of the students in class, Hayden supposed it was to try and get some extra money in. Actually, thinking about it, he wouldn't mind some food.
"Can I get the potato salad, please?" Hayden noticed the small flicker of confusion hit the woman's face as she hardly ever delivered salad to a student. But... Hayden was a model and one that had a much lower metabolism then some and so had to be careful. That was his excuse anyway... perhaps it was secretly force of habit from when he was younger.
"Sure thing." The waitress headed off in the direction of the kitchen and Hayden turned to look back out the window. There were more people walking past now since class had finished for most of them but Bailey had been able to sit out for a shoot he had returned from. At least his looks were good for something. Hayden lifted his eyebrows quickly at that thought and took another healthy sip from his cup, feeling the liquid sooth his throat.
Hayden gave the woman a smile as she returned pretty promptly with his salad and set it down in front of him and once he had paid, scuttled off to help the newly arrived people into the cafe. He picked absently at the food, eating it slowly whilst still taking sips of his drink.

KILL OFF THIS THINKING it's starting to sink in
Patch sighed deeply as he hauled his ass out of music theory and towards the cafeteria. He wore a simple, cadet blue long sleeved shirt that hugged his lean frame, some loose fitted jeans, and his chucks, a studded belt around his waist. Overall, he looked pretty normal and down to earth as always, his sleeves rolled up to his elbows and a thin black bracelet around his wrist. He had a guitar case, with his guitar inside, on his back, the strap over one of his thin shoulder. Like the majority of the musicians in the school, he carried his instrument with him. You never know when a song might spring into your mind.
Lately, He had been going through a bit of hell. Upon leaving Balderman for the summer, he left things a bit hectic. His old flame, Theo, seemed to have moved on from Patch and had gone after Ian right before vacation and, completely shattered on the inside, Patch went to the last place he thought he could get over his problems: Home.
You see, the famous son of the Flood family had gotten into a lot of trouble upon coming to Balderman as a sophomore. So he had returned home in hopes of solving those problems, since usually over the summer he simply stayed in a hotel in London until school started up again. This time, Maui was where he went. Home to the Flood parents and gazillion other Flood children. While there, he fixed the majority of his problems and he finally got on good terms with his parents. He went to parties, had random hook ups, and overall, he had a pretty decent happy. He definetly came back changed...
And everyone had noticed. They noticed he stopped being such a playboy and was completely focused on his music instead of chasing after guys and gals, he stopped his smoking and drinking habit-for the most part since he would occassionally drink at a party or two but never too much. Basically, Patch Murphy Flood straightened himself up and instead of trying to make everyone else smile and be happy like he used to-he was actually thinking about himself.
But that was all beside the point. When he came back, Theo had said three words to Patch that, for once, Patch could not say back as much as his little heart wanted him too. He didn't feel he could completely trust Theo in that love-relationship again. But as a friend, Patch was all for it. Better to at least be friends with him than to cut him out of his life completely afterall.
He entered the cafeteria and smiled at the lady who smiled back, "The usual deary?" Patch grinned like the puppy he seemed to always look like.
"Yeah, double cheeseburger, no mayo," Patch chuckled as the lady happily brought it out and handed it to him along with his orange fanta. He turned to see where he could sit and eat and scrunched up his nose slightly to see no real seating available. Seeing someone by themselves, though, Patch walked right on over to them. He wasn't some anti-social creature. Oh no. Patch made friends quite easily just because he sort of had that laid back, islander vibe to him that, for some reason, attracted people.
"Mind if I sit here, dude?" Patch asked easily as he stood across from the guy. Hey...at least the guy was cute. Maybe he was one of the modeling guys that seem to be all over the place around here lately...Hopefully he wasn't cocky like them....

Hayden continued to pick at his salad, almost working through it methodically although in reality he was just distracted. Lately, he seemed to be somewhat homesick... everyone was really different here compared to his previous lifestyle and he was missing the American people, the sunny beaches and of course the women in bikini's... albeit not necessarily in that order. Never the less Hayden was more then aware the opportunities that would arise once he graduated from Balderman even if he did have a few offers entering his email box already.
Hayden's eyes flicked up to meet the face of a young blonde lad, with quite a well formed face. He shook his head mentally to get rid of some of his training and just be a normal human being for once. God knows the rest of the time it was drilled into him by family and tutors. Flashing his brilliant smile, Hayden's blue eyes gleamed at the lad.
"What's in it for me?" Hayden paused and a smirk blossomed on his face before he reached under the table and pushed the chair out slightly.
"I'm just messing with you, mate." God, he was already picking up British idioms. "Of course you can. Free Country"
Hayden hadn't failed to notice that the cafe was now full and there was no other seating as he knew the man wouldn't sit in front of him unless there were no spaces. People tended to back off from Hayden slightly... normally because they knew of his background and sometimes frustrating personality.
As the blonde sat down, Hayden blinked at the large cheeseburger that accompanied him on the table. He hadn't had one of those in years, and he wasn't going to say he really missed them cos he didn't. Plus his less then normal metabolism would mean he would pile on the pounds and the model agencies would pick it up in an instant and right now he couldn't afford for anything to go wrong. Still it was interesting to see it be devoured without a care in the world. Glancing down to his own plate, Hayden lifted his eyebrows only slightly at the amount of green that littered it... particularly in comparison to the burger across the table. 'Great...' Probably another kid that would see him as weird just because he ate healthily.
