Vlad grimaced as he stood there. He could tell he was trying to come up with some lameass excuse. He blew a hot breath from his mouth, allowing some of his hair to fall into his face. It give Vlad even more of a rather wolven appearance. This time he was careful not to cut his inner lip on his teeth. Didn’t need another mini wound in his mouth. He simply chewed on his lip ring slightly as he watched Dimitri for a few moments.
“Zen follow me” He simply said as he began to walk towards where his room lay. He kept his pace below average walking speed. Vlad was enjoying the nightair, though knew his creeply crawlers were expecting him back soon. He frowned slightly. Had he fed that spider of his? Oh well, she’d probably find a millipede or something to chew on while he was away. She knew how to fend for herself.
He let a few moments of silence pass by before he spoke up, “Do you haff a phobia of insects?” Vlad’s voice seemed rather cautious. He had quite a few critters in his room, it wouldn’t work out too well if he was scared to death of bugs. He had a spider or two, but they kept to themselves into his room. No one bugged them and they bugged no one in return. Vlad looked forward, continuing to walk as he waited for his answer.
Vlad put his hands in his deep pockets, mainly just to keep them warm. He kept his hand balled up, mainly to conserve heat. Plus, he didn’t need his lethal nails creating another small hole in his pants pocket. He quietly hummed a rather morbid melody as he walked on, mainly justy to match the mood of the rather eerie night. The moon was almost full with a few clouds over it. The wind just slightly blew by, creating a gentle zephyr. He smirked slightly as he came across the window to his dorm.
Vlad opened the window(being sure it was large enough for dimitri to fit through) as he carefully stepped inside, not wanting to step on anything. He allowed Dimitri to get in before Vlad saw his raven fly in a few minutes after. “Nacht” He said with a rather cheerful smile. Quite a rare one for Vlad. He closed his window after the bird perched on his shoulder. Vlad sat on his windowsill, allowing the full effect of his room to sink into Dimitri.
Indeed his room was like no other on campus. Instead of being lit by a bright yellow/white light, his was lit by a few very dim bloodred lights. The desk was midnight black with a black laptop. The song “Das Tier en Wolven” Played in the background. His room was about medium sized. Instead of having posters up on his wall, he kept it blank. There were a few cracks in the walls, cobwebs surrounding it. In a few corners if you looked close enough, one might have though that a bugged crawled out of it. If someone were to look down into his room, someone would notice the large black and red abstracted colors. On the far right of his room lay his pride bed, it looked like a coffin.
Vlad walked over to his coffin-bed and looked down, seeing quite a few millipedes, centipedes, etc. He frowned as he looked over at the lid. An idea purked in his head. He gingerly lowered Nacht down into the coffin and shut the lid fast. He equaled his weight down on it, hearing much squawking and feathers flapping. About a minute passed before things fell quiet. Vlad timidly opened up the casket, seeing most of the bugs gone. He smiled and allowed the bird to come up and sit at the end of his “bed.”
Vlad sat on the edge of his coffin-bed and looked over at his closet for a moment. It was only a peak moment. He whistled a rather bass sounding tone. A few seconds passed before a rather large, hairy spider creeped out. It moved rather quickly for its immense size. It went across the floor and crawled up Vlad’s leg. He bit his lip slightly as he held his leg as steady as he could. His leg shaking was a natural impulse thing he couldn’t help. The she-spider sat quietly on his lap in return.

Dimitri saw Vlad grimace at him. Coming up with a lame ass excuse wasn’t going to work, mainly because he couldn’t think of one that would convince an idiot, and from what he saw, Vlad wasn’t an idiot. Fuck. This scared him, not so much of what the other guy though, but of what he felt. There was only so much longer that he’d be able to lie to himself about his feelings. He shook himself out of his daze, only now realizing that it was fairly obvious he was lost in thought. “You’re a weird kid,” he said, trying to put as much malice as he could into his voice.
They walked, not saying much, while Dimitri tried to envision what the room would look like. It’d be dark, of course, with strange colored lights.. He imagined gruesome pictures on the walls, maybe crazy looking gothic people or vampire people. Maybe, weird objects on his desk or something like that. Can’t forget the coffin Honestly, he had no clue, but he had a feeling it’d be a huge surprise for him. Whatever it was, it’d be very interesting.
More silence passed between them, a silence that made him feel very awkward. Vlad probably didn’t feel any awkwardness, but Dimitri definitely did. That is, of course, until Vlad broke the silence. Dimitri thought about it carefully, wondering why insects would be a problem. “No, no phobias here. I don’t get scared.” Still, insects? The only reason they’d be a problem was if he had some. But, he still had to ask. “Why are you asking?” he asked slowly.
For the rest of the walk, his eyes were over on Vlad. Well, half of the time. He had to alternate between looking at Vlad and looking ahead of them so it was as painfully obvious. His hands were balled up in his pockets, quite similar to the way Dimitri’s were. Vlad’s black hair was arranged over his face in such a way that made him look more like an animal, somewhat .. wolven. He couldn’t forget how it felt laying in his lap, or the way it felt when Vlad was by his neck.
Dimitri stared at the open window for a bit, not understanding. And then it hit him. He crawled through the window, feeling a somewhat tight squeeze, but fitting through easily enough. He followed Vlad’s movements, being careful not to step on anything. After he was in the room, something flew in after him, close enough to his head to make him jump. When it, whatever it was, perched on Vlad’s shoulder, Dimitri noticed that it was a crow, or a raven. And the way Vlad acted, it was a pet of some sort, and he was smiling. He closed the window and sat on the windowsill while Dimitri looked around the room.
Well, he was right about the strange colored lights. It was dark in there, lit only with red tinted lights, and not many at that. They weren’t even bright, colorful red, more of a deep, dark red. Not a lot of light. But he was wrong about the creepy posters on the walls. In fact, there was nothing on the walls, at all. Besides the cobwebs of course, and the random cracks around. And there was the bed, or well, coffin. He wasn’t kidding about that, was he? Interesting. “You’re a weird kid,” he muttered again.
He followed Vlad over to the bed, his eyes wide at the room. He looked down at the coffin, and saw several bugs in it. Ah, the insects, lots of them too. He watched as Vlad let the bird into the coffin, and closed the lid. When he opened it again, the majority of the bugs gone. Awkwardly, Dimitri sat down on the edge of the bed, still watching Vlad. A large spider crawled out of the closet and up on to Vlad’s lap. ‘My spot,’ he thought bitterly. “So, this is your room,” he murmured quietly, “It’s ... different.”
